While when a person inhales jasmine oil, the beta wave activity of the brain increases. The researchers from Toho University School of Medicine in Tokyo, Japan also provided supporting results by measuring the brain waves’ upward shifts. Through the measurements show that inhaled jasmine can produce a stimulating effect that is similar to that of when inhaling coffee. On the other hand, East Indian sandalwood oil gives a calming effect.
